I have Stewart Hunting that I purchased from KiltMart...
I'm pleased with it. Pleats stay sharp, and it has decent swing.
Looks every bit as good, or better in some respects, as my SWK Black Watch (which I'm happy with, too)

My very first was a Kiltmart ( one regular, & one hand sewn Blackwatch). No complaints whatsoever re quality etc. (Their customer service was lousy, they never answered any queries, emails etc.) I just guessed about removing the basting stitches as there was no enclosed directions. But at least I knew front from back.

I have a solid black sk and a swk blackwatch thrifty. I am growing to appreciate my thrifty but I love my SK. It is extremely comfortable, will fit perfectly if I gain or drop 50 pounds, and is just damn pretty (sewn down pleats are a must). I have heard complaints about sport kilt's tartans looking cheap, but I must say I think my solid black can be the dressiest thing I own. I highly recommend it.
Then again I've never tried any of the others and my tastes are hardly traditional or typical in any way, so what do I know?

I agree. My SK is like my bathrobe; easy to put on, always fits, takes a beating, and is the most comfortable piece of clothing I own.
