    Balmoral Pattern/Instructions

    Hey, there!
Anybody have an easy Balmoral hat pattern/instructions...NOT the knitted kind (I could not knit even if I tried!), but the "regular" kind?? I did a search and found people talking about it, but no actual "how to" or instructions.
    THANKS!!!

I have made them in the past. I didn't use any pattern I just used backward engineering. They aren't difficult at all. Essentially it's two wool circles sewed together with a band sewn on. Just remember to cut the pieces all 1/2" larger to allow for the seams. Measure the band to your head and a little more and make the hole in the lower cicle the same circumference. Hope this helps

Here is the pattern I used for my cap. I just left off the brim, and ended up with basically a beret. It should be easy enough to add a headband on the outside:

    Oh crap!
Being infinitely curious and obsessively cheap, I cannot help but try new sewing projects.
Heck, I even threw together a new sporran over the holidays out of an old work bag just to to see if I could do it and also to keep my hands busy.

I guess I've got project to do now

    Kidding aside..thanks for the inspiration
