    Not only do you need RealPlayer, but also a good 25 minutes or so to enjoy it.

    Thanks for posting that - I thought it was a very thoughtful appreciation of the bagpipe.

    that was realy interesting especially about the Northumberland bagpipes i wouldnt mind a set of them i dont like bellows tho

    You and me both. I refuse to install RealPlayer anymore. The last time I had it installed I had to tell my firewall to lock it down because it was constantly "calling home".

    I've also given up installing Quick-time on my PC's. I've never had an installation of it that has worked properly.

    If anyone finds a non-Real media version of the file, please post it here.

    I guess that pretty much leaves you SOL, as both Northumbrian smallpipes and Half-Long pipes (aka Border or Lowland pipes) are powered by bellows.
    I long ago found that learning bellows-blown pipes was well worth the effort. If you enjoy playing by the likes of Kathryn Tickell, Andy May and Chris Ormston, perhaps you should consider making the effort too.
