Just to continue here...I usually hate black kilt socks. I just hate them. But I honestly think that the black socks, black shirt, red tie, jacket and X-Kilt looks pretty sharp in a very "alternative" way. It's by no means traditional, and it requires a different sort of "eye" than usual. Usally, long-cut jackets look horrible with kilts. But for some reason, this works. I dunno why.
IMHO the red tie and black socks works better than the tuxedo thing....just my two cents

For the record the hose are Navy blue, and the tie is a dark burgandy.
I still plan on modifying the coat just thought it looked nice in these set ups.
the bottom of the coat does get in the way of the sporran as is so it will need it eventually.
I also changed all the buttons to chrome KY state seal buttons I used to wear on my uniforms.

Great minds... Seriously, though, I like both looks. I can't decide. I'm pretty sure I know which one he's going with, regardless of how I vote.

Just ask Dana............or anyone who's ever met me.
He is not kidding. BUT... I am my grandmother's granddaughter. She shot straight from the hip (she was born in Glasgow), and as J.T. will tell you, I have my moments like that as well. Two of a kind, we are.
