That's as close as we've come to duplicating that part of the wonderful breakfast served to us in a wee B&B near Invergarry.
And if you can't find the right beans, or don't want to go to the trouble of mixing up your own, just use the regular baked beans. They may not be authentic, but they're still good eating.

I agree with all the above, with 2 exceptions. EVERY B&B I stayed at for 3 weeks served baked beans along with the rest; and, I don't ever remember getting mushrooms.

My wife found a place in New York, I believe, where they make and deliver black pudding via FedEx. White pudding and bangers too! We just love 'em all, particularly the black pudding. All go great with grits.

Baked beans is something which has been acquired from England in a Scottish Breakfast. I can't remember when it came about, but not too long ago.
An "at home" breakfast for some Scots would be a tea or coffee with a couple of cigarettes.

Make sure to get some organic tomatoes and free range eggs.
Ordinary tomatoes that've been picked green and shipped and stored, and factory-farm eggs just don't measure up to what we had on our holiday travels.
I haven't had eggs that good - and they were amazing everywhere - for decades in the U.S.
And the toms tasted freshly picked. Ours, here, don't taste of much at all in comparison.

Man, you guys are making me hungry! The salmon and scrambled idea sounds good too, but prefer mountain trout and over-easy eggs with diced fried potatoes, maybe some tomato, and a small hunk of cheese and toast .
