[Just by reading this thread you all have made me hungry. /QUOTE]
Amen to that! I'm still full from supper but looking forward to breakfast!
[/My wife found a place in New York, I believe, where they make and deliver black pudding via FedEx. White pudding and bangers too! We just love 'em all, particularly the black pudding. All go great with grits.

Where did you find it? Black pudding to me is like haggis--a distinctive Scottish dish.

On a side note, in Scotland you can't skip breakfast. Last time there, my wife and I checked into our b&b really late. The woman who ran the place asked us when we wanted out breakfast, and we told her not to worry about it since we wanted to sleep in, and then had plans. I thought her head was going to explode. Needless to say we got up for breakfast (no baked beans though).

Von's supermarket sells Bangers.
I am due for my Blood test this week (Cholesterol, post heart-attack stuff etc.) That delicious breakfast (minus the Black Pud.) posted here has probably shot me way past danger level just looking at it! (Sigh!) it looks simply delicious!
Marmite is Second Choice to Vegemite for Australians, but quite acceptable, also on Toast. Flapjacks & Treacle/Golden Syrup! (Be still, my silent heart!) :food-smiley-002:

potato scones and marmalade are nice additions. I am very lucky that I can get some good UK and back bacon (they don't call it chinese food in China either) and bangers locally from a number of shops. I love making a good fry up at least once a month.
Personally I can't stand strip bacon anymore. Even if the fat content is light, it just doesn't taste as good to me.
We also go for the following:
Eggs-over easy
back bacon
banger
baked beans
mushrooms
tomatoes
and either toast or potato scones.
If you really want to be authentic, when the toast is hot, put the butte ron and than put the toast in a toast holder. Nothing says real Scottish breakfast like cold buttery toast

Ordinary tomatoes that've been picked green and shipped and stored, and factory-farm eggs just don't measure up to what we had on our holiday travels.
I haven't had eggs that good - and they were amazing everywhere - for decades in the U.S.
And the toms tasted freshly picked. Ours, here, don't taste of much at all in comparison.
