... don't believe the McGregors were as notorious cattle thieves as the Border clans, Scotts, Bells, Armstrongs, Douglas's etc.. They got so bad they were exported to Ireland to clean up there.

Off the main topic, as I already stated the reason for the animosity, you forget the MacFarlane' as cattle theives... they don't call a full moon "MacFarlanes Lantern" for nothing.

Now, if I remember correctly, the Miller's are a sept of the MacFarlanes....which, if that's right, would probably make my father's clan "guilty by association".

Though I'm pretty sure my dad hasn't nicked (ie: stolen) any cattle lately! ;)
