I too suffer from the dread sporranophobia. In my case it is that I don't like all my stuff just dumped into one bag where I have to fish for it. I also dislike that most sporran have the storage capacity of a chewing gum wrapper.
This is why I invented my kilts. But I fully understand not everyone likes my kilts.
The only time I wear a sporran is when I am wearing a Traditional Style Kilt without pockets. (yes, I actually own a Tank) Or when I;m wearing one of my Tartan Model Kilts. And with my kilts nothing but my wallet is in the sporran. Everything else I carry is in the pockets.
I actually believe that sporrans are the evil invention of a Traditional Kiltmaker who had a brother-in-law who needed a job. So the kiltmaker invented the sporran because his wife told him he had to hire her brother.
Then the kiltmaker left the pockets out of his kilts so his B-I-L would finally stay employed for once.
So I say to all you kilted gentlemen with sporrans, Throw them away. Release the rest of us from your incessant tassel drumming. End the tyranny of sporran slavery. That bum brother-in-law doesn't really want to work anyway. He would rather be sitting on the couch letting the Government buy his beer.

I for one do not like your kilts, however I do enjoy your pockets (well my pockets, I've had my hand in Steve's pockets). So a freedom Kilt is merely a delivery device for those wonderful FK slash pockets. In my desert camo FK I'll go without a sporran (yet are not truly comfortable with it) but if I ever get an FK in HBC tartan I most definatly would wear a sporran (beaver, of course) regardless of how many pockets it has just because it looks right and for the mosesty it provides.

I don't want to begin with this. I just want to know how to make it stop.

Yikes Chase, ask for an opinion....!!
I'm with you. I wear sporrans, but I prefer to not wear them.
Main thing is NEVER buy a sporran without insisting the seller tell you the true measurements. I have no clue how so many sporran sellers get away with selling sporrans without giving their measurements. Which is why I resold my Buzz Kidder Sporrans...I couldn't get my ham hands into the ones I bought on line and they didn't hold much.
I do like the nightstalker and have the original nylon which I replaced with black and brown leather versions. I have my two precious Freelanders which I wear for "dress" (remember I'm in the boonies here), and I have my black and brown NativEarth large 9x9" sporran/pouches for when I need to carry a lot. Oh yeah, and one of the brown ones that you drop the nail through the front to keep it closed and my custom hair on buffalo sporran from Miss April's Carpetbags.
But maybe its because I sit so much for a living at the office and on the long drives to civilization that I much prefer a vest, jean jacket, or bomber jacket to hold my "stuff."
