I'm talking about something edgier and perhaps more... interpretive? Like a canvas sporran that is also a double-wrap belt. You've got people running around in really awesome boots with hardcore kilts, and they don't have any sporrans edgy enough to keep up with the rest of their outfit.
I must admit, that I don't have a clue what you mean by "edgy".........????????

I'm guessing that when H.M. means edgy in reference to boots, he might be talking about something like this, and imagining a sporran that would go with that look.

Precisely, good sir. If the contemporary kilt crowd has boots and belts that are so hardcore, where is their matching sporran?

Customising the SWK Nightstalker was easy enough.
I cut the leatherette tassles off...sewed on a subdued Clan Donald patch on the front flap...put a big piece of hikers 'moleskin' on the back belt loop so that the abrasive ballistic nylon won't wear my aprons out as quickly/badly...slipped a fabric double keyring fob through the beltloop so that I can use a nylon strap with swivel clips as a sporran strap. (The double keyring fob looks like this: O=/=O with the / being a quick release buckle.) I use the QR keyring fob so that when I get into a car, I can just quickly unhitch the sporran and keep the strap threaded about my waist just clipped to the respective right and left keyrings. The Nightstalker holds a LOT of stuff and is by far the largest of my sporrans, but yes, it would be neat to have more options that were less traditional too for us 'kids.'
I don't have the cabbage for 'edgy' New Rock Boots (honestly, I'd rather buy a new pair of Limmer Standards to replace the pair I bought in 1984...which are now starting to need replacing... I did just get a pair of Cocoran Marauder jumpboots yesterday for warmer weather wear than the Canadian Cold Weather Mountain boots in all of the photos that I shared earlier.
