I currently have 4. A Strathmore traditonal in the Kerr Modern, 2 PKs, and a black great kilt that I use with my Renaissance fair costume. I'd like to add a couple more like a SWK in Black Stewart, an SK in US Army.
I wear my PKs as often as I can. I wear the Strathmore for special occasions and as stated, I wear the great kilt at Ren fairs.
I wonder. Is there such a thing as too many kilts

For me, yes. There is such a thing as too many kilts! Right now "kilts" are a fun thing. They cost me some money but not too much. I wear all my kilts and I wear the lightweight ones, the blends and the PV ones, all the time. For me, and this is just for ME I can't judge for others, if I were to accumulate 30-40-50 kilts, it would be an obsession, and that's not healthy.

I'm suprised that my love has not posted to this yet, but then again, he's so modest and shy, he would never want to brag about his numerous kilts...I can hear him now, "Dear were you drinking and posting last night?"
Technically, I own 23 kilts, since what's his and the children's is mine and what's mine is mine, right?
myself:
1 Sport Kilt mini Loud Macleod
1 X-Marks Tartan cheerleader style, self-made kilt
1 lovely little mini, made by Alan H, in Lindsay tartan
1 Mud-Flap Girl camo mini, self-made (material supplied by way2fractious)
my son:
1 MacNichol Tartan, self made (material supplied by Alan H)
1 X-Marks Tartan, self made
1 Loud Macleod (USA Kilts)
my daughter:
1 loud Macleod (Sport Kilt)
1 Royal Stewart (Sport Kilt, hand-me-down from her brother)
Panache:
1 Utilikilt-grey denim (his "gateway kilt")
5 Stillwaters (Royal Stewart, Macleod of Harris or Hunting Macleod, Green and Black shadow tartans, one Lamont)
1 Sport Kilt (green/khaki, which he rarely wears anymore)
1 Pink Panache, made by me
1 really cool camo X-Kilt, made by Alan H
1 really nice Black Watch, found and restored by way2fractious
1 really nice (and expensive, but well worth it!) Galbraith, by Matt Newsome
1 Loud Macleod, by USA Kilts
1 purple fashion tartan, purchased at a games last year, the name of which, and the vendor, I've forgotten, but it's really pretty
Last, but definitely, not least, 1 X-Marks, military box pleat, made by way2fractious
Do all those add up to 23?
I think so.
Be well,

As the love of my life has already summed up the exact number of kilts I own, I will offer the answer I give to people that ask the questions "how many kilts do you have?"
"Far too many, and not nearly enough"
Cheers

I've got two:
- 1 Kerr modern I picked up somewhere on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh (I forget the name of the place)
- 1 Kerr hunting I had made
I've got my eye on some medium weight Kerr shepherd so I can try my hand at making one myself
