Yep, I've noticed that too. I played guitar at an open blues jam a few months ago - a friend (saxophone player) spoke with me for about 20 minutes before we went on stage, we played for about 30 minutes (he was right next to me), and after we had finished and I was breaking down my rig, he came back on stage and said "I didn't realize you were wearing a kilt!" I thought it was pretty funny.

You know another thing you won't hear when wearing pants? Someone asking what is underneath. ;)

I haven't had anyone approach me and compliment me on my kilts yet. However, last weekend my girlfriend and I were out running some errands. She told that she caught several women checking me out. When the other women noticed that my girlfriend had caught them, they just gave her a sly smile.

Yep, compliments are common. I'm surprised that you haven't had any (yet). It will happen, that's for sure!

Well I'm wearing my kilt to work for the first time today. Allready I've got one compliment and a kilt check from the same person. So I can see what everyone is saying now.

Well, that was quick! You must have been wearing your kilt with confidence and looking good. Well done!

Last weekend I wore my charcoal grey and pinstripe modern kilt to a family reunion (the Irish side of the family to be exact). It was well loved by several people, whilst others were confused as to why I was wearing a kilt in the first place. One family member told me I was the very first person they ever saw wearing a kilt - so it made their day.

But kilts usually do get comments by those who rarely see them.

Doesn't it make you feel good to be wearing a kilt when someone says you rock?

How could it NOT make you feel good? It's great!

I think one great thing about kiltwearing is all of the people that you meet.
