As a former Pro Wrestler I know that the image is important. I had a trainer who was quick to say that the old saying "You only get one chance to make a first impression" was really true in wrestling.

But a gimmack is alot easer to sell if you are comfortable in it and it is an extention of your real self.

With all that said I say do what is comfortable and what is easiest for you to sell. It may be to that the untucked shirt may make some spots easier.

That's my humble opinion.

P.S. When I was trying to come up with a gimmack I thought of a Scottish angle but the kilt was to expensive. Wish now I would have known about some of the inexpensive models available.
