As you I'm not Scottish and I wear kilts most of the time.
I'm just back from Russia and I was kilted all time.
All kiltmakers would have been in bankrupcy if kilts were permitted to Scots only.

P.S. Ok, admittedly Stormfront is probably a pretty fringe group. I probably shouldn't read too much into what they say over there.
Yes, I'd say the nexus of violent white nationalism online would qualify as a "fringe group," and their opinions can be soundly ignored.

I drink vodka, but I'm not Russian.
I enjoy bratwurst, yet I have no German blood in me.
My nickname is "Drooling Moron", yet... oh, wait... not a good example.
Heck, I wear Hawaiian shirts with my kilts... but I'm certainly not Hawaiian.
Wear what you want. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise... I've yet to see the "fashion police" hand out a citation.

There are plenty of red-headed Scots with Viking blood wearing the kilt. Just do it.

Well, I like very much wear kilt, it's so confortable...anyway I prefer not to wear the 42nd gov. tartan but the Royal Stuart, that is one of the very little number of tartan that an Italian can wear (with the permission of Prince Bonnie Charlie!). Anyway I've to say that here in Italy there aren't great possibilities to wear a kilt in common life!

There is plenty of Viking blood swilling around Scots veins. By all means wear the kilt and enjoy it. It might be worth you learning a wee bit about the history of the clan's tartan that you are wearing so that when an old "fuddy duddy" like me asks you the odd friendly question you can come up with an answer! We(I) do still assume, perhaps wrongly these days, that if you are wearing clan "A" tartan, then you are from clan "A"!!!! Have fun.

As a member of the Kilt Police, I only get upset when the kilt is NOT worn.
