Indeed. That's why I really LOVE the answer proposed on page 1 of this thread. Happened to me the other day whilst kilted.

"Are you Scottish?"

"Nope. Not at all."

"And you're wearing a kilt...?"

"Do you wear blue jeans?"

"uhh. Yeah. Why?"

"Are you a cowboy?"

"Touche."

Depending on my mood, I may also point out the argument that UK has on their website: "If women had an appendage between their legs, I can virtually guarantee you that they would not be wearing pants."
