It was great seeing a few of you guys. Beeman hugged me! That was something of a surprise. Made me feel all kinds of welcome- like and old friend. Man, Albannach were sweet...

It was nice seeing everyone. You have a wonderful setting for games. We are so worn out. The jousting was interesting. I've not seen that before. The lines for all the food vendors was unbelievable. The lines for the porto-potties were just as long. But we had a great time and hope to return again someday.

Sorry we missed you! Got lucky running into Livingston. Getting anywhere at all was a nightmare... I forgot what a pain it was. I was actually kinda hoping that it would be scaled back a bit like the other festivals this summer.

What a riot. I heard today that Saturday set another record for attendence. I don't know this for fact yet but, I can believe it. There is one vendor that has shortbread there every year. They will pack up and leave when it's gone. The left last night and they've never been out of there that early that I know of. I'll get a photo thread started in the next couple days unless someone beats me to it.
I'm beat....got to read the rest of the threads and then sack out....

Well, I back in Virginny. I enjoyed the Games, my first. Sorry that I missed MichaelBeeman and Nighthawk, Here's my copy of the Meet Up on Saturday. It was great meeting you guys. And a special thanks to Livingston for introducing me to his friend, Talisker.

Riot is right! My feet hurt.
And, I didn't expect as much Sun and wore the wrong hat; my face and neck are burned bad. Never had that problem at this festival before. I'm afraid that the Celtic themed head ware is out. (I wonder if I can find a good Sun hat in Tartan.)
Also, I spotted you, Nighthawk, and your wife headed through the crowd, but I couldn't attempt to catch up to you because I was standing in one of those infamous food lines and I wasn't about to lose my place.
By-the-way did anyone else see Steven Villegas and his new Wife and Baby?

Ah crap. What a pain. Sorry I missed you. On the other hand, I did a get nice new reed for my chanter. So it's all right I suppose. (Not that that makes things any better for you, but for me it's a consolation.)
Maybe next year. Or Tartan Day. Or St Pat's Day. Or any one of our other festivals!!

It was good to meet all of you on Saturday - sorry I missed Nighthawk & Beeman, though. Nice to put some actual faces to names.
I really enjoyed the festival - just wish I could have gone back on Sunday. I'll post some pictures when I get a chance. My kids really enjoyed the jousting, the trebuchets and the swordplay demonstrations. The cinnamon roasted almonds were good too. The lines were too long to buy actual food, though.
Sorry for the delay, but my internet access has been lost at home (thanks for NOTHING, WindowsXP Service Pack 3). Hopefully I'll get it going again in a day or so.
