I've hiked Longs Peak. I don't remember a town, though.

Is that Estes Park? I'm pretty sure I've been wherever that is. And it's bugging the caca doody outta me.

DSF, yes, that is Estes Park. If you climbed Longs, you were there. Estes Park is the eastern entrance to Rocky Mountain National Parks with Grand Lake at the western entrance.

Longs Peak is just South of Estes Park. If you hiked the Longs Peak trail, you actually have to go outside the National Park to get there. And yes, there are no towns near there.
(7 miles to the top and a 6,000 feet rise in elevation. Very difficult trail. I know because I've done it.
