Marton actually has some looms that will make a very presentable selvedge with the poly-viscose. I got lucky, my first 2 USAKs had the selvedge, and I didn't know there was an alternative.

Rocky has said that when he orders a custom weave, he always specifies the selvedge. When he orders a bolt of stock tartan, it may come either way.

That tartan has been on my list. Had it in a SportKilt but just not "kiltie" enough for me. Thanks for showing the finished product.

Never noticed the fringed hem before. Went and checked my semi-trads and about half have it and half don't. Now I know why.
