Fantastic pics, Jay! It looks like this year you had really great weather. The scenery is so beautiful, and the gathering so hectic, you and Nicole must have had a blast.

We booked the hotel in March. At that time there were plenty of rooms available so I think we could have waited longer and still found a room in town. However, while we were there we noticed quite a few guests booking their room for next years games, so early booking is definitely recommended.
The games were extremely well organized especially taking into account the size of the crowd (which was easily the largest I've ever seen at a Scottish event). The only frustration I had was the fact that several events started late. You can hardly fault the organizers for that, considering how many things were going on at once. The program was an extremely informative magazine that we found indespensible.

Thanks for sharing your pictures =) I didnt take that many because I spent a lot of time trying to get some good vids of highland atheletic events and bands instead and filled up my memory card. I got two shorts of caber tossing up on youtube. Unfortunately John (emolas) was the only other xmarks person who I ran into in the 3 days.
Your photos do show why I feel that the NH Highland games are one of the best in the nation, bar none. Great location and always a great time. I think they estimated around 20 thousand people.
