This Thread was pulled off the forum for review recently and has just now been reinstated. Lets please not have a litany of Criminal charges being discussed, this was not and is not the intent of the original poster.
If this thread does degrade down that road it will be pulled and not reinstated.

Umm yes...
Remember those long days of yesteryear when a lad's courage could take my then his head for drink????
Just click "yes" for me. I'm just very thankful Chicago cops have a good sense of humor

I got arrested once, about a year ago. I was doing something stupid (exploring an abandoned factory), but they tried to get us for felony burglary (we hadn't taken anything.) Luckily the charges were dropped and I was charged with just "criminal mischief", which is a misdemeanor.
I spent ten days in county jail, which was the most awful experience ever. Four people crammed into a cell designed for two (I had to sleep on a mat on the floor, next to the head.) No books, no nothing. Luckily I wasn't kilted, but either way, it was an awful experience.

Nope - never been arrested, wearing a kilt or pants. (And I don't ever intend to do anything that would put me in that situation.)
However, I'm working on a book with a friend, and there are four scenes in which folks are either arrested, searched, jailed, waiting in holding, or etc. I've done some research and I understand the process - but I wish I had a better understanding for what it feels like (being in cuffs, searched, etc) and the emotions involved. It would definately add to the book. No, I'm not crazy; proper emotional response and accurate descriptions just make books better.
(If you have specific information for me to consider, rather than clog up the thread, send me an email, im or pm.)

Same here. But they did have a lot of questions as to where my sgian was. I don't carry one anywhere where I'll be checked for just that reason.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

No - but I once spent a weekend in the stocks due to my moral depravity...
But that, as they say, is another story...

Never been arrested, thankfully, but I'm not sure how the cell-mates would react to a kilt. You do hear these stories about prison!
