The waistcoat
Is this indeed one of the waistcoats from Target?
It went very well with your whole ensemble.

Thanks for the compliment. That is indeed my $24 Target waistcoat. After wearing it for a full day and scrambling around rocks in it I can heartilly endorse it as a great deal. It is well made and comfortable. As you can see it's a tad big on me but the size large (which I normally wear in a shirt) was absolutely too small. Anyway, for what I paid for the waistcoat I feel I've already gotten my money's worth.

BTW, the winner of the athletics competition was Stefan Petersen, Iceland's strongest man, and only 22 years old. and the guy in the polar fleece kilt was Magnús Ver Magnússon, four time world's strongest man.
Also I think that i've been convinced to join the historic highlander's group and be their blacksmith since they've been without one for a while. I'm going to be attending their next meeting and whatnot and finding out what's needed hehe. Never done re-enactment or anything before, but i've always been a history buff and my hobby is blacksmithing and bladesmithing

Great pics, Jay! That sword collection belongs to my reenactment friend Hank Griffith, who I spotted in one of your photos of the historic groups (most of them he made himself!)....

Wow...I'm jealous. I was very impressed with those swords. They had a very authentic, antique look to them.
