Wearing a kilt without the sporran?

If it's a traditional kilt then I wear a sporran, if the kilt is contemporary and has pockets then I do not

Ditto...

If I'm wearing my Utilikilts then a sporran isn't needed, nor does it add to the "look". But personally I think a traditional kilt looks "empty" without a sporran.
