    There's a Correct way?

I probably would have been upset if that happened to my husband too. So far the only kilt checks he has received have been by his buddies.

Yeah, definitely not lifting the kilt up!

Sliding the hand up and going just far enough to tell on the side of the leg to see whether or not there's anything being worn. No actual grabbing or going too high.

Of course, when I check my hubby, I am a little more thorough!

Depending on what the guy is wearing you might get a false idea that he is regimental when he isn't. I wear underwear, but very brief underwear. Your hand would have to go all the way up to my hip!

My wife would not let me go regimental either, but I don't mind.

I wasn't about to admit that. I've thought about that, and I think my wife would rather me be showing it all instead of some of the choices I could go with... Not that I admitting anything...

Well, don't get the wrong idea. I don't wear a thong. But she was talking about the side of the thigh, and that's not an area that needs much fabric.

IMHO the briefer the underwear the less likely you are to accidentally flash it, but if you wouldn't be properly covered in it, e.g. if you wore a thong, then you might just as well be regimental, although the latter might save you from being charged with indecent exposure in some jurisdictions. Or not. I'm not a lawyer.

At the same rate, on a good day, up the thigh could still miss a loose pair of boxers, though I would suspect a thong would be some protection from a cold seat if you don't get the sit down sweep quite right. But that is rather devious things to talk about.

So far I've managed to escape any kilt checks and I've also managed to avoid giving a definite answer to "The Question". Long may both continue.
