I have a secondhand Mocker with the floating waist and like it very much, except when I have to take off the belt going through airport security. Fortunately the hip snaps are sufficient to keep it up for that short priod of time.

Thanks to all. For those who don't like snapless, you can always sew on the small Dritz snaps--basically like sewing on a button. They would be good enough to keep the kilt on without a belt....

Or, send the kilt to a tailor (or back to UK) and have them add the waistband snaps. Not too hard to do.
