    I, too have crunched the same numbers and come to the conclusion that there's no way on earth that someone can make a living sewing up kilts in the Bay Area. Thus, the job being professional geek.

    You will just have to wait until you retire. Then since you won't need the money you earn from the kilt-making, you can open that type of business! Not only have a lot of fun, but make enough to keep you in single malt too.
