Matt, you'll be pushed to get a new one now. Grouse stopped their shirt sponsorship of the Scotland Rugby side two seasons ago. Article here
You can still find them on Ebay UK from time to time. This Bloke has a few in new condition in XXL (48" chest - don't know what size you are) Also has some other new scottish club shirts too: Ebay link here
Are you sure you wouldn't rather have a nice England shirt instead?? White goes with just about anything.

I agree most emphatically. My parents did not invest tens of thousands of dollars in my education to qualify me as a sandwich man.
TGIFriday's is not a dressy restaurant. Almost any attire that's clean and decent is acceptable there. If your conduct is appropriate to that venue then almost certainly your attire will be also.
Of course, one can plausibly argue that bare-chested is never appropriate at a meal. Miss Manners put the matter beautifully when she said, "There are exactly two sports at which a gentleman may be properly attired while shirtless. One of them is swimming, and the other is not."
But as a matter of personal opinion, I do not like to see a plain white T shirt worn as an outer garment. To me that is too much like exposing one's underwear.

I've found a look that works well for me is an Irish-style grandfather shirt under a casual vest, worn open. Sort of "Modern Celtic Casual" . . but then again, a kilt can even make a plain old henley look laid-back dressy, 'specially with a good pair of stompers!

Depends on who's bare chest. Maybe not family friendly, but still pleasant..
Out of curiosity, have you seen the movie "The Guru" There is a scene where a character goes out of a room to talk to someone, and comes back and everyone at the dinner table is naked, and there is a scene where the main character is in a roman 'skirt' (without the rear) (Not a kilt, but part of the family, kinda)
I love the ending to that movie, but it's not for everyone. Overprotective parents would not want their kids to see it, but I would let my 4 year old stay in the room if it was on, but we don't shelter ours much.

i've got a black hoodie i wear with my Black Watch SWK and a grey hoodie with "Ireland Pub Crawling" across the front that i wear with my Irish National SWK. I usually just wear a black t-shirt like the new Department of Highland Security t-shirt (thanks Kerr!).

PioBear beat me to it. Here in the Sandhills of NC, it gets so hot that the robins use hot holders when pulling the worms out of the ground. A very common shirt is the Golf shirt with the clan badge on it. Also "T" shirts. I generally wear a light cotton Gillie shirt (after having over a dozen skin cancers peeled off, I don't wear short sleeved shirts much any more.)

I currently am wearing a MacKenzie weathered kilt, white socks pulled up (it's cold today- they keep my legs warm) and an Iron Maiden hockey jersey with the Killers album cover on the front.
Normall, however, when it's not a holiday week and the company wants a more dressed up look in the office, I will forgo the Maiden jersey and wear a shirt with a color-like a polo. I have a few and I think they look great with the kilt.

Polos are great. I also have several short sleeved cotton button up shirts in solid colors that go well with a kilt.
