Montrose Doublet without Jabot

I have never tried my Montrose without the jabot as it is proper to have it there, I'll stick to wearing the Jabot and Cuffs with mine.
If you see a Montrose for example without the jabot there is a dart sewn in the middle, hidden when wearing the jabot. I'll post a few pics to show what I mean.

I just wear an undershirt, as what I have is a jabot and cuff set, I must say it is warm enough regardless.

I used to wear a t-shirt, mainly to absorb the sweat. The Montrose is a seriously sweaty garment believe you me! Especially if it is like mine with a quilted lining under velvet.

So, are the lace cuffs buttoned to the inside sleeves of the Montrose?

No they are elastic I got them from our own Lady Chystel, well worth the price by the way.

To my eye, the Montrose looks incomplete without the Jabot and cuffs.
