I actually noticed that they had them in yellow now and ordered a pair earlier today =D Yellow flashes to go with navy hose and the yellow stripe in my new xmarks tartan kilt.
I currently have a pair of the purple garter ties and a pair of the lovat green lewis kilt hose that i wear with my other kilt, an IoS

I also much prefer the garter ties, whether the woven ones like the tartan museum sells, or strips of tartan cloth matters not to me. I have both kinds. I also have elastic garters and flashes, but wear them less often.

As a matter of fact, I just received a pair of yellow as well, to go with the yellow stripes in my Campbell of Breadalbane kilt and my Buchanan Hunting Modern.

To me, the "Traditional Tie" style garter is the only way to go. Not only "looks" but COMFORT!!

Another option is "Snake Garters"

I just received yellow, too! I have them for the yellow in my Irish national.
I much prefer the look of the traditional garters, so much in fact, that I'm disposing of my flashes soon.
