It was 80 degrees today!...
A long standing high temp for early January was broken today here in the SF Bay Area. Right now it's almost like a summer night outside. Nice, but WEIRD!! As I type, I'm wearing a USAK casual, light henley and flip flops--and the window in my room is wide open. Definitely not a typical January evening in Northern California.

Wow, 80 sounds nice. It's ok near Boston, and is just around 34 F here this afternoon. I have thick kilt socks from Freedom Kilts, which have proven to be quite effective against blocking out the cold.
Glad to hear you're enjoying the weather.

I went to CA this summer and was surprised to learn that a lot of it stays near or below 70 for most of the year. I was in SF on July 3, and Monterey on the 4th and it was close to 70 in both places. Now, in January, it's 80? Here in NC it was 29 this morning, and about 40 miles from where I live it's supposed to be 9 degrees tomorrow night. No snow, though...

Chili or chilly?
Well like Mr. Kilt said it is cold here on the prairies of Canada.
We are -31c out here in Saskatoon this morning and that is good because there is no windchill this morning....and the sun is out.
When wearing the kilt and people ask "aren't you cold" the answer is "yes, yes I am".
Stay warm, stay cool depending on where you live.

Temperature
It was -10 degrees celsius in Toronto yesterday but this didn't discourage a kilt wearer at our indoors boat show. At about 6 ft. 8 in. he was pretty noticeable manning a booth for a regional yacht club. He looked good in a Maple Leaf tartan and dark blue club blazer.
