    Degrees of Separation

Two of my intertwined hobbies are living history, and bagpiping. My wife and I attended a black powder rendezvous last week. I played the pipes for a wedding that took place during the event. Everything went well, if a bit hectic, and a good time was had by all. Later that afternoon, the Groom came over to me to show me a special gift his new bride had ordered for him from Scotland. A beautiful damascus bladed sgian dubh, with carved interlaced knotwork ebony handle and sterling silver fittings, made by one Rab Gordon. Finally got a chance to see some of his work up close and personal. Fabulous knife, the Groom was very well pleased.
All skill and effort is to no avail when an angel pees down your drones.

That whole idea of 6 degrees of separation may be getting even smaller with the internet. Boards like this & myspace, bebo & the like are making the world even closer. Lets see, I am 1 away from the Pope, the last 5 presidents, Tony Blair, Queen Elizebeth & my clan chief. I have no idea how many lesser known people I am bearly seperated from

    It's a small world indeed.
Sounds like it was a good wedding.
