    If you look through the pockets of your tweed jacket you may find a tailor's tag indicating it's year of manufacture. My guess, judging by it's real horn buttons and two- button front, is that it probably dates from the 1950's through the mid-1960's. It is, in my opinion, very stylish.

    Looking at the cut and cloth of your tweed jacket underscores three things:
    1) by and large the quality of today's kilt jackets just isn't there.
    2) quality jackets and kilts really do last pretty much forever.
    3) quality jackets and kilts look better when worn.

    Oh yes, one other thing. They obviate the need to wear white socks. Ever.
