That's a very nice looking tartan.
I once again find myself wearing my jealous face.

Nice looking kilt, and at a reasonable price. Congratulations Puffer.

Cheers,

According to the description of this tartan on the Scottish Tartans Authority web site it's like no other MacDonald sett and 'has never been regarded as a clan tartan'. That means that you couldn't cause offence by wearing it (if the tartan police were lookingith. Having said that I wear it for my family name Henderson, as Henderson is affiliated to Macdonald. I couldn't make my mind up between the modern or ancient colours (which look better at night in artificial light) but opted for the modern shades. However I'm still sorry I didn't get the ancient colours and may well get one some time in the future.

Absolutely brilliant color. I have not seen the hunting green in MacDonald before. Looks like I may need one! Good choice.

The tartan being worn by Puffer is MacDonald of The Isles. You have to be careful though because some kilt suppliers refer to it as MacDonald of The Isles Hunting while some again refer to it as MacDonald Lord of The Isles Hunting which is a totally differant tartan. Thats the one you often see Prince Charles wearing (because he IS The Lord of The Isles) but it's one that I personally dislike. I had to be very specific with my kilt maker to make sure that I got the right one.

Fine looking kilt, but you didn't say anything about the customs duties. Did it get into the country without the duties?
