This little number from Stillwater Kilts is modern looking, very roomy and I think, great value for money. Even I've got one and I'm an English Bloke from Englandshire. I wear this probably more than any other. It's a stuff to tote and no pockets thing with me I'm afraid. Ron's right, you don't have to wear one but I find they are indispensably handy.

Just look at all the stuff I got in it.

For the sake of modesty (sitting or standing), I can't imagine going without a sporran. I've got a semi-dress one, a very cheap leather one, and a Nightstalker. On the other hand, if you don't have one and you're going to a rock concert then don't let its lack stop you from wearing your kilt!

John's right about the Nightstalker sporran. Love them zippers and velcro - one handed operation, don't even need to look down. As much as I love the look of traditional sporrans I have a difficult time driving all the pull cords and lining up the magnetic snaps.

Have a black ballistic nylon Nighstalker sporran, a black leather and a brown leather...love 'em for the sheer convenience of them. And, John's right you can stuff them well.

I personally have 2 different belt pouches that I wear. They attach directly to the belt, the hang at my side, and they stay out of my way. I have a desk job. Having a sporran in front of me when I'm at my desk is just plain annoying. So I say, don't worry about it. Wear a normal kilt belt, though- that's what I personally never go without.

I have a black nylon belt pouch as well that I wear with my Stillwater kilts. I don't like the idea of a sporran. I also try to avoid leather products. I also don't want something loose threatening to bang into sensitive parts if I need to run from point A to point B...

I prefer to wear a sporran when I go out. I take it off when I'm at home.
