    English Bloke - I'm guessing the jaguar in your picture is a kilt pin . . . pretty cool!

    As to the subject of this thread - I wear a sporran with my traditional kilts and usually not with a Utilikilt. That's what makes me comfortable: You deserve the same choice!

    At the office, I usually do not wear one. I find it uncomfortable when sitting at the desk. I really don't need to carry keys, change, wallet etc. while working. Different story when out in public. Outside I need the "pocket" for my stuff.

    Wearing a kilt without a sporran is something I do only while at home or participating in some activity where it obviously would get in the way. Otherwise, a good, solid sporran makes the kilt feel like it's truly 'finished', and it's less likely to be confused with a skirt.
