    Dunkeld Bridge 200th anniversary celebration

Some great kilt shots of the Atholl Highlanders in this gallery.

Also note the rather interesting pair of trews being worn by this fiddler:

For anyone that might be in the vicinity of Blair Atholl on May 23rd 2009, the annual parade and inspection of the Atholl Highlanders by the Duke of Atholl at Blair Castle takes place. It usually takes place at 1500hrs(check the time to be sure) and is rather a splendid affair. The games are held in the castle grounds the next day.

I guess that fiddler couldn't decide on just one tartan, so he made trews out of both!

That's how many I see. If he is a mediocre player, I suppose it gives you something to look at!

Could you imagine making a kilt like that - a yard of this, a yard of that, some of that nice red weathered, Oh and some I o S and a yard of Loud MacLeod! I gives me a headache just thinking about it.

    Regards

    Chas

You know, I could swear I'd seen a picture of something like that already on X Marks.... Finding it, of course, is a different matter entirely.

The guy in question is Pete Clark, who's bio seems to suggest that he's a fiddler of some accomplishment.
