You've done it again Sandford, I love the yellow hose and garter look, I'll have to try that out. what a great bunch of photos what really strikes me is how the entire matching idea in Highland wear, is a greatly North American one.

The picture which I find the easiest to criticize is the one of the Earl of Erroll. I think Lord Erroll must have been rushed: he forgot to put on a waistcoat, which really ought to be worn if one is wearing a jabot; and his hose need to be turned down a little bit more so that the "stripes" line up (it could be that the hose are too small). Ah, but he sure has a wonderful doublet!
