Holy cow! I used to be able to walk to Liberty Corner through the woods when I was a kid. Last time I passed through the area, I couldn't believe how the place had changed.

Have fun at the festival and please post some pics! If you can get some of the surrounding scenery, I'd be ever so grateful.

    Thanks and regards,
    Rex.

    Rex.
Rex I am sure you remember the Fellowship Deaconery. In 1997, I worked for them in opening a Continuing Care Community on what was the farm. I really enjoyed my two years there.

I do. In fact, if memory serves, I think there was a gift shop there, where I bought my NIV Bible when I was a teen. It doesn't get used so much now, but it does hold a lot of memories.

    Regards,
    Rex.

the day started out rather overcast, but by 11:00am it was quite beautiful. i got a very late start and was able to catch the massed bands for the opening ceremonies and the national anthem by scottish entertainer charlie zahm from philadelphia. what a stunning voice. i was on such a tight schedule that i was only able to walk around the grounds once. one vendor had a nice staghorn sgian for $40 but i wasn't sure if the blade was steel so i passed on it. just had time for my pie and chips from the argyle of kearny and was on my way back home for a family event.

no pictures as the battery went dead on my camera.
though we didn't have a chance to meet, galician was there. hoping he has some photos.
