Told to my younger son by a very nice man at "Gun Practice" on Sunday; "I am the Safety Officer. If someone is being unsafe, for their own safety, I will have to kill them."

B.O.O.M. were very friendly to the kids and put on a good show (but the Safety Officer did heckle myself and another kilt wearer).

Just discovered this thread....what a great time it looks like you all had!

Recently I've begun working on a historical 18th century privateer/pirate persona, loosly based on an ancestor who was a real pirate captain (he sailed with Capt's Kidd & Avery).
Not sure if I'll be ready for Halloween ($$$) but one can hope

You might also try these sites for listed events. I seem to recall that Florida has a number of pirate-themed festivals, etc.
