That makes sense.
The blue with burgundy and other colored diamonds bow tie,I have, actually has a few twists across the back that are sewn into the tie. It's a thinner material than the burgundy tie, but it is not as wide at the ends, or it would be droupy.
The burgundy bow tie is made from a single length of fabric that is folded to make one side, and seamed on the ends and other side.
I can see how interfacing might help; I'll have to look into that...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
