Plenty of prayers, thoughts, good energy, karma and white light being sent your way.
Why, a child of five could understand this. Quick -- someone fetch me a child of five!

My thoughts and prayers are added to the others, for the strength to see your way through this difficult time, that you've started on the way to the solutions and that great days are ahead.

Hey all,
It's been almost 2 weeks since I posted this thread so I thought it would be fair for all those who have been sending the prayers and good wishes that I give a bit of an update as to how things were going.
Things are still bad -- it seems the resolution to this problem will be neither quick nor easy (nor painless). Just today I learned some new information that made things a lot worse (at least from my temper's point of view).
On the other hand, in the larger picture -- the wife and I are getting to the point of being able to mentally deal with this issue and hopefully (slowly) be on our way to getting to the point where it does not steal joy from our day and doesn't consume our minds during every waking moment. It can't. We mustn't let it. I'm in the middle of a Master's program and working full-time -- I just can't afford to get distracted to the point of losing my focus and ability to balance studying and working with family life.
In fact, even if this situation never gets resolved, the earth won't stop turning and the more I think about it, the more I realize I should be adopting a "devil-can-take-it" attitude and not let meaningless issues (in this case people) stop our progress.
Anyway, I'm on a study break right now, and thought I'd do a bit o' forum reading (writing) as I've barely logged onto XMTS at all for about a week.
Thanks again for all the support everyone... And when things look up, believe me, my clansmen will be among the first to know!
Oh yeah, I apologize for rambling. My thoughts are still really quite scattered and it's rather difficult to make myself coherent... (Heh. At least I realize it though)... :-)

Just ask yourself, "in 5 years is it going to matter?"

Hang in there. To quote my late father (who was at least partially quoting Burns), Do the best you can, and the devil take the hindmost.
We'll keep remembering.
