Well, Jersey, on the whole, isn't what it used to be and there are a lot of socio-economic and political reasons for that. Bottom line is the cost of living keeps going up while the quality of life keeps sinking. You can have it!
Oh thank god, yes, Klein's!! I was there last year, had the lobster bisque and that is about all i could eat. You have to be careful what you order there, because you can end up with way more than you can eat. My folks would know Evelyn's and Zelbe's I am sure. We used to live right off Ocean Ave, about a mile down from that infamous boardwalk. Didn't get up this year, hate it, I go through withdrawal pains. There's a great little coffe shop on the main street in Belmar that does the best breakfast burrito, the owner is awesome! We used to get our fish and stuff from Spike's or the Co-op, you wouldn't recognize the place now. I guess some things gotta change.
I know my mother is extremely pissed off about the Pt. city comissioners! My great-grandfather built one of the first houses there in that area. You should see what they have done almost in the backyard! Still and all, that place will always be home!
