Be sure to hit the museums on-post (Engineer, MP and Chemical) -- two of my former NPS colleagues now work for the Chemical Corps Museum and are always turning up interesting items from the archives...

Wait, you went golfing but didn't wear a kilt? Now, I think we could overlook you needing to wear a uniform, but if you had room for clubs and shoes, you should have had the kilt too. I mean, it's GOLF

I've passed the Miller Cave link along to my RV-ing sisters and their husbands. But I did have to warn Mary about the bats. . . could be a deal-breaker LOL

Not for me though, we spent an evening sitting outside in Cornwall on the promise of bats in the area. Heard at least three owls but just one glimpse of a bat.

I can see bats if sit on my front porch. Big whoop.

I don't think I would care to sit out and wait for the bats in a different country, but that's just me.

I also would prob also decline to have an American Beer while abroad, though I would drink the Coke at least once, I can tell difference in where it is made. Chicago has some great Coke, I swear.

Good luck with the course mate. I'm sure with your background you'll fly through it easily.

Loved the cave photos. Thanks for posting
They remind me of the family stories told about kin of mine back in the late 1800's, who used caves like those throughout the Ozarks to hide from the LEO's

I did the Nuclear Biological and Chemical Course for the Marine Corps at Fort Lost in the woods. Pretty Country, but those hills were no fun to run.
