Hi guys,
I have been smoking a pipe in a kilt for several years now and I found that the easiest way to deal with a meerschaums was to go to a cloth or hobby store and get some really thick felt and make a pouch for it, it does not take up as much space as the case but still protects it and you can size it differently for each pipe. the alternative to a meerschaum though is a well cleaned and cared for briar. (vodka for cleaning works well and does not leave a taste behind just make sure that it is well dry before you light it again) you can also look at a briar that has a meerschaum liner that has been added to it. smokes like a meerschaum with the duribility of a briar.
anyway just my thoughts on it.
Thanks,
Jeremy
