At the top of the hill, Kent set up his "shooting stick" (actually, it's Madalyn's, but he borrowed it), surveyed the scene and said "Well, the geocache should be right down there somewhere. Start looking around for a plastic shoebox. It may be a little hard to find, but shouldn't be impossible."

I scrambled down the hill (faster than The Clever Little Monkey, I might add. Hey, you snooze, you lose, right?), and I'm afraid it wasn't very hard to find. In fact, I got quite a laugh when about 10 seconds after Kent's command, I said, "You mean like this, right here?"

After replacing the sorry, broken, plastic box and adding our contributions, we all posed on the beautiful cliff top.
Here's a good one of one of our newest members of the Nor Cal Rabble, blackbeard. You can tell he's fairly new to the kilt by how white his legs are!

Walkerk, looking a little smaller than usual with the big world behind him.

The shy and retiring Panache and myself

monkey@arms and the clever little monkey. Cool staff, huh?

When we got back to the house, we discovered that wee Xena had been "bored" while we were gone, so Madalyn had lent her a "Furby". These things are creepy. Also, when wrapped up in her sweater, it looked exactly like Gizmo, the mogwai from the Gremlins movies. I told her to make sure not to feed it after midnight, and to not get it wet. She didn't understand. Sigh. I'm old.

That's all I've got.
Except this cool caterpillar.

It was a good day, and a good time was had by all. We cannot thank you enough, Madalyn and Kent, for your warm hospitality and the marvelous food and drink!
Be well,
Star
