BTW, I'm not saying patience wasn't used in the store; only that one shouldn't be so upset about these things (although it is understandable). Again, mean and rude people are all around, unfortunately.

Earlier in this thread I think I said that I can't recall the last time someone said something unkind. Truth be told, I couldn't tell you whether anyone actually has, it's just that I simply can't recall it. After several years of this now, I'm sure I've become inured to the jackasses.

Rex.

And, I agree the the second part of the comment was very, VERY rude. I've had some people say some pretty horrible things about my manner of dress, but I've always tried to be patient and off it up.
Often i do let it roll of my back. When ppl are genuine about the comment. as if not visible able to discern what i am wearing. but when they have been leering at me for the entire time i was in the store, and coming up to my back to make there rude comments, or Pointing, laughing, being a spectical, than at times i do Stand up for what i am wearing and my choice to wear it.

If you look at my intro post (about a year and a half ago), I'd mentioned that the thing that converted me to kilt wearing was the fact that the kilt was the only thing I'd worn other than my hapkido uniform that I felt I could effectively execute a face-height side kick while wearing.

You're stirring memories of Canadian fiddler Ashley MacIsaac's high kick at the end of "Sleepy Maggie" live on Conan O'Brien about a decade back - certainly one way to keep Maggie awake...

I don't recall having ever read any vulgarities from you before! It's usually me making those comments... I agree with you, by the by. (Also by the by- thanks again for the Lewis Rich hose- it got really cold here this last week, and they made the first blizzard of the winter tolerable!)

That's one of my favorite things about it as well... My uniform pants are being hemmed, so I wore my Sport Kilt to class tonight. (Yes, I wore boxer shorts.) And Brooster- I just read this thread and that post from you- that cracked me up. I actually am very zen, believe it or not. I find martial arts to be very meditative.
Oh yeah- and any kick with my teacher that goes any higher than mid chest earns you many pushups. He hates high kicks, and shows us all kinds of ways to destroy a person using them!
