Post finally i got proper garters

well i got these in today from the postie
im really pleased with them so far it'll be nice to wear them rather than the old style tartan flashes
im thinking of buying lovat green hose also but its a choice of bottle green lovat green or forrest green

i bought this celtic brooch to go on my kilt for less formal do`s ,
its a really nice enamel brooch though and it has a good weight to it which is a must for kilt brooch's i think its also a far better quality than i was expecting to tell the truth... both bargains from good old ebay

I've a couple sets of garter ties on order as well. Like you, I'm starting to see the appeal in traditional garters instead of flashes. Patience, though, is not my strong suit.

yeah the look is far more appealing than the tartan flashes i just thought id stick with the red as i reckon its a colour that will go with green/blue and black hose that i plan to buy in the future

They are 'way more comfortable than elastic, as well!

Like red garters, lovat green hose will go with just about everything short of white-tie situations.

I discovered traditional garters here on XMTS. I have a pair in black. Looking to add more colors down the road.

    That's a nice looking brooch.

    Congratulations on your two acquisitions.
