Fortunately, a wool cilt is by nature able to reform its pleats fairly well by hanging it up, and giving the pleats a gentle pull.

piperdbh .... I have never had problems with the pleats of my cilts .. i have sat in cars, transits, buses and trains for hours on end and curl up often in odd postitions to watch tele at home etc.
Here is a pic of my blue mackay ... I have had it just over 30yrs now and it has been to weddings, pubs, caving, hill walking and got soaked many a time up on the mountains. An iron or dry clean has never been applied to it.
