I have made trousers before. Pajama pants, and several pairs of historically accurate britches.

I can tell you that drop front britches do NOT have addictive qualities. Once they are done you either never want to see them again, on in some cases want to set them on fire.

I find myself looking at the bookmarked link to F&K's remnant's page a few times a day. Sometimes I look at the Martin Mills site - flipping through images of PV that I have seen oh so many times. When that does not work.. then I go hardcore - Lochcarran or some obscure tweed sites.

It would appear that this is a Pavlovian extension of the addictive quality of tartans. The visual image has been so associated with the substance that viewing the associated image with provoke no doubt a hit of endorphins. Classic
( And by the way the Stewart of Fingask is a handsome tartan and if I can convert the "boss" to my imminent need for kilt #6 I will buy it before it too gets sold out.)
