Elsie doesn't mind which weight, 13 oz, 16 oz, or heavier, you use. Keep in mind it needs to be wool, not PV, and she does have a decided preference for (wool) fabric from Scottish mills.
Even so, she realizes that XMTS wool tartan comes from F&K in B.C., Canada and she will work with that.
She also offered a kilt length of 16 oz, special weave, Roxburgh tartan already on hand for a killer price. She did not specify which color it was, Green Roxburgh or Red Roxburgh, but they are both gorgeous.
I also have a few kilt lengths of 13 oz tartans on hand (New York City, MacDonald of the Isles O.C., American Heritage, and perhaps others) if anyone is interested in those. And that rascally Wizard may still have a kilt length of 16 oz MacLaren Weathered from Lochcarron (my name was - maybe still is? - associated with it a few months ago
