hey! Welcome to the great White North!! I live right outside Saratoga in Middle Grove and as far as I know am the only kiltie around (until now!). There is a fellow in Albany, but as I remember he doesn't wear it much outside of an "event" (but I could be mistaken.) I can give you the skinny on our area. What are you interested in? Feel free to PM me if you prefer. Oh, BTW, this isn't a typical winter.........

Welcome. Nice to have you here. All my people are from the Carolinas and I know what you mean about missing that sunny weather. Just hunker down till Spring and you will see how pretty it gets. Regards John

Yeah, the plant closed in KC. Found a new job closer to where I grew up in PA. Still half the state away but it is nice.

Happy to hear that you found gainful employment closer to your hometown. What part are you in?

Wow I missed that, MILD IN BUFFALO!? Are you mad! I am freezing my rear off here, and this is just Saratoga!
Ok and before I forget my intent in creating this thread, could I get a show of hands for who would be up for an Albany meeting? I know it could be a bit of a drive for some, I understand, but I dont know the area well enough and I have certain restrictions placed upon my travel by my employer. Also, I dont feel like getting caught in a snow storm hours from home in the RX8. (Yeah, I know, Great car for the snow

I could do an Albany meet-up, but I'd suggest putting up a new thread in the NewYork section to make sure it gets others attention. McGeary's Pub would be good, or the Albany Pump Station. APS brews their own goods....
