Why not just get the Black Watch sett in Lochcarron's weathered color scheme?

I remember that someone here got a Brown Watch kilt a while back...I was very impressed by it and it's one of the ones on my "want list".

If'n I remember correctly, there was some discussion of how Brown Watch would work as part of a uniform...for the US Forest service, I think.

It might just be the way it appears on my screen, but the weathered Black Watch seems to lack the green colors the Brown Watch has.

And I did see that old post about the Brown Watch making a fine uniform tartan. I wonder if anything ever came of that.

Have a look at Lochcarron Strome Hunting Stewart Weathered

    It's one on my wishlist...

There's a picture of one here.

Wow, that is a fine looking tartan. Is it a "universal" tartan though?

I do believe it is considered a universal tartan.

There's a Stewart Hunting Muted as well, which seems a little darker in color while still being "earthy".

I believe I have an inexpensive version that I purchased off of ebay.

The seller is calling it the Desert Watch. I just liked the colors and thought it would make a nice hiking kilt.
